Friends of the Chef Meal Prep began as a humble idea in a small apartment in Lodi, NJ. Founded by Katherine and César, a couple who started as boyfriend and girlfriend and are now happily married life and business partners, our journey is a celebration of love and culinary passion.
Katherine, a former teacher, took a brave step by resigning from her teaching position to dedicate herself fully to Friends of the Chef. With César's business acumen and years of experience in various industries, they took a leap of faith together. Fueled by their Dominican roots, Friends of the Chef specializes in Latin fusion meal prep, creatively transforming cherished childhood favorites into delicious, healthy meals.

Now, eight years into the business, we’ve grown beyond meal prep to offer juice cleanses, event catering, weddings, and private chef services. For Katherine, the dream of becoming a chef has come true, with every dish reflecting the love and joy of food that brought them together.
